1.2.1 Policy

1.2.1.1 General

Klune Industries has established and will maintain a documented quality system as a means of ensuring that product conforms to specific requirements. This includes but is not limited to:

a) The preparation of documented quality system procedures and instructions in accordance with the requirements of the ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9002 Standard.

b) The effective implementation of the documented quality system procedures and instructions.

c) The customer notification as required of revision changes to Klune’s Quality System Procedures. (Ref. 1.5.1.3 Document and Data Control)

1.2.1.2 Quality System Documentation

The documentation structure consists of five levels in hard copy or electronic form. (Ref. Procedure 1.5):

a) Quality Manual

b) Procedures

c) Work Instructions, Job Descriptions and Shop Orders (Travelers)

d) Forms and Records

e) Customer Documents and Data; and Standards and Codes

All documents are revision controlled and implemented.

1.2.1.3 Quality Planning

Quality Planning is initiated in Contract Review (Ref. Procedure 1.3); carried out via the Traveler (Ref. Procedure 1.9).

In meeting specific requirements, timely consideration is given to the following activities:

a) The preparation of quality plans in accordance with specific requirements.

b) The identification and acquisition of any controls, processes, inspection equipment, fixtures, total production resources, and skills that may be necessary to achieve the required quality.

c) The compatibility of the design, the production process, installation, inspection and test procedures, and the applicable documentation.

d) The updating, as necessary, of quality control, inspection, and testing techniques, including the development of new instrumentation.

e) The identification of any measurement requirement involving capability that exceeds the known state of the art in sufficient time for the needed capability to be developed.

f) The identification of suitable verification points.

g) The clarification of standards of acceptability for all features and requirements, including those which contain a subjective element.

h) The identification and preparation of quality records.
