The Clune Family
Jim Clune
Jim Clune founded Klune Industries in 1972 as a one-man weld shop. An immigrant to North America, he worked hard and brought on a partner who was experienced in sheet metal. Together they set the foundation of several processes making parts for the aerospace industry. Jim Clune retired in the mid-1990s. After three decades since the company's inception, it was turned over to the next generation.
Gordon Clune
Gordon was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and spent much of his youth on the rural homestead of his grandparents. As a child, he moved to California with his family and worked in the family business as a sheet metal mechanic. He eventually participated in many manufacturing processes and administrative functions of the business. After his college attendance at the University of Utah, he worked full-time at Klune and lead TOR Industries, a subsidiary that merged several smaller companies with Klune Industries. Learn More
