Hot Forming
Hot Forming is used to form exotic metals or metals that are prone to cracking such as titanium. The process allows a net or near net part to be produced where conventional cold forming manufacturing processes may require multiple welded smaller parts.
Technology
Hot Forming includes a variety of processes that include heated form dies and heated material. Superplastic forming (SPF) also involves heated dies in a closed furnace using low pressure gas and materials with certain elastomeric characteristics.
Equipment
Klune has developed strategtic relationships in our supply chain to support our requirements for hot formed parts that we integrate into assemblies and kits in both our North Hollywood and Spanish Fork divisions.
