BRU 55 Assembly
Klune provides the machined components and the complete assembly for the BRU 55 "smart" bomb rack that equips the F/A 18 aircraft.
Challenge
Klune has to manage for this program 900+ parts that are either manufactured directly by Klune Industries or sourced from a complex supplier network. This highly complex assembly, entirely completed in our Spanish Fork Facility, includes a series of smaller detailed parts and requires comprehensive product testing.
Remedy
Klune has set-up a dedicated and highly trained assembly team and has put in place a specific testing procedure in line with our customer's product requirements. An integrated Program Management Team (IPT) runs the program.
Results
The BRU 55 "smart" bomb rack has become a showcase program that illustrates Klune Industries ability to complete highly complex assemblies.
