Goodrich Embraer Kits
Klune provides a complete Kit of components for the tailcone of the Embraer ERJ 175. This includes Draw formed, Hydro formed and complex 5-Axis machined parts.
Challenge
Klune has to manage 200+ components that are either manufactured directly by Klune Industries or sourced from a complex supplier network. The kitting process is executed in our North Hollywood division before being shipped to the Goodrich production line.
Remedy
An Integrated Program Management Team (IPT) has been dedicated to the program. The process also involves IT assisted part management supported by a specific software package and a discrete kitting area has been set-up especially for this program.
Results
Klune Industries has been running this type of program for Goodrich for 5+ years, supporting a high build-rate and meeting our customer's quality and delivery requirements.
