JASSM Fuel Tank
Klune provides critical components for the fuel supply system on the Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM).
Challenge
Klune provides a large and complex sheet metal welded assemly with a focus on consistency in the production process involving tight weight requirements and tolerances.
Remedy
Klune's manufacturing teams have been working closely with the customer's engineering teams to set-up the tools, production processes and controls to meet the requirements of the JASSM program. This involves a dedicated lean assembly cell and specially trained Klune personnel.
Results
This has established Klune Industries has a preferred supplier for fuel tanks and other programs involving large complex welded assemblies.
