Klune Adds Large Scale CMM Capabilities North Hollywood, CA - November 1998. Klune Industries is pleased to announce the addition of a Mauser-Zeiss CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to our compliment of process capabilities. The machine is capable of measurement of large parts (5 Meter x 2 Meter x 2 Meter or about 195" x 79" x 79" measurement space) while maintaining an accuracy to a few 10,000's of an inch. The machine is calibrated, certified and traceable to NIST standards. Our environmentally controlled inspection lab ensures accurate measurements despite changes in the weather. Klune Industries is accepting dimensional inspection jobs utilizing this CMM for both large and small parts, in production quantities or small quantities. Fully automated computer controlled programmed operation is available for repetitive measurement of production runs of parts. Parts involving contoured surfaces may be accurately checked against CAD models using precise measurements of their surface at specific locations.
